Productbeschrijving

Box set containing a spine-chilling compendium of creepy horror movies. 'Creep' (2004) is a gruesome horror set on the London Underground. Unable to find a taxi, Kate (Franka Potente) heads for the Underground and waits for the last train. She falls asleep and when she wakes, everyone has gone. She panics until another train pulls in. She gets on the train, unnerved that she's the only passenger but relieved to be on her way. Halfway through the tunnel the train jerks to a violent halt. The lights shut off and the train is plunged into darkness. Kate is trapped, in the dark and she is not alone. '28 Days Later' (2002) looks at what could happen after a viral attack, but this time the virus is so deadly that within seconds the infected person is taken over by a murderous rage, permanently. After 28 days there is only a handful of non-infected survivors, but the virus is not the only thing they have to contend with. In 'The Hole' (2001), school nerd Martyn (Daniel Brocklebank) helps four school friends, Liz (Thora Birch), Mike (Desmond Harrington), Geoff (Laurence Fox) and Frankie (Keira Knightley) avoid a school field trip to Wales by taking them to an old underground bunker. Together the teenagers party non-stop for three days in their sound-proof shelter, but when Martyn doesn't return to let them out, the party atmosphere changes quickly into a living nightmare. Liz is found a few days later walking towards the school, covered in blood and traumatised. She is taken to a police psychologist where she tells her story; but when Martyn is later picked up, he gives a very different account. 'The Blair Witch Project' (1999) is set in Burkittsville in 1994. Three students - Heather (Heather Donahue), Josh (Joshua Leonard) and Michael (Michael Williams) - head into the woods to investigate the local legend of the Blair Witch, a spirit blamed for the deaths of various children. However, soon after setting out, the trio run into trouble. In 'The Omen' (1976), US Ambassador Robert Thorn (Gregory Peck) is persuaded to substitute a newborn baby whose mother has died in childbirth for his own stillborn son. By the age of five the child, Damien, seems to be exerting a malevolent influence on the Thorn household, suffering a violent fit when he is taken to church and causing his nanny to hang herself. Thorn searches for an answer to his son's behaviour and meets maverick priest Father Brennan (Patrick Troughton), who tries to convince him that Damien is in fact the Antichrist and must be stopped at all costs. The Ambassador at first dismisses this as the crazy rantings of a religious maniac, but subsequent events suggest that maybe the priest had a point. 'From Hell' (2001) stars Johnny Depp as Inspector Abberline, the Victorian detective charged with catching Jack the Ripper. Despite the fact that he is struggling with an opium addiction and the ghosts of his dead wife and child, Abberline nevertheless quickly discovers that the Ripper is a man with an expert's knowledge of human anatomy and some kind of connection to the Freemasons. As his investigations continue, he meets prostitute Mary Kelly (Heather Graham) and following her leads discovers that the killings are connected to people in the highest reaches of British society; but as he gets closer to revealing the culprit, both he and Mary find themselves in mortal danger. In 'Deathwatch' (2002), a small group of surviving British troops find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and are forced to take shelter in an abandoned German trench. They wait for help to arrive but one by one suffer gruesome and myserious fates; leading the survivors to believe the trench is possessed by some evil greater even that the war itself. In 'Wrong Turn' (2003), on the way to a job interview, Chris (Desmond Harrington) takes an unexpected detour down an old dirt road to avoid a traffic jam. A distracted Chris crashes into the back of a car stuck in the middle of the road, immobilised by barbed wire. The car belongs to five friends on a camping trip. Two of the group stay with the cars while the other four set out to find help. But they soon discover they've been led into a horrible trap when they find a old cabin in the woods occupied by a gang of disfigured cannibals. 'Dead End' (2003) is a low-budget horror film set on the night of Christmas Eve. Frank Harrington (Ray Wise) is driving his family on their annual trip to the in-laws' for Christmas. For the first time in 20 years he decides to take a short cut through the woods - a decision he'll live to regret. A woman in white suddenly appears from the shadowy forest, triggering a rapid descent into a dark vortex from which they can see no escape. Signposts point to a town that they can never reach, and frustration soon turns to panic. Every time the family stop, a hearse appears and takes one of them away. As tempers fray and terror takes over, the road trip to hell turns the family Christmas into a living nightmare. Finally, in 'Jeepers Creepers 2' (2003), the Creeper is back and his 23-day feeding frenzy is coming to an end for another 23 years. Unfortunately a busload of highschool kids have become stranded on the remote East 9 Highway and the Creeper has 1 day left to feast.
