Indringend boek over wat sociale media sinds 2010 hebben aangericht onder jongeren. Drugsdealers pakken we hard aan en aan alcohol- en tabakgebruik stellen we strikte leeftijdsgrenzen. Bij het gebruik van sociale media doen we dit niet. Haidt laat met keiharde cijfers en een indringend betoog zien dat wij als maatschappij zo niet verder mogen gaan.
