James Catchpole

James Catchpole was voorbestemd om ofwel een rondtrekkende zanger of een voetballer met amputatie te worden. Hij slaagde er een paar keer in om van de wisselbank te komen voor het Engelse Amputee Football Team, en trok ook met een gitaar door de Provence (een ander beroep waar het actief helpt om één been te hebben), maar bereikte de grenzen van zijn talent in beide velden toen hij halverwege de twintig was. Daarom sloot hij zich zo aan bij zijn familiebedrijf en hield zich bezig met kinderboeken. Hij runt nu The Catchpole Agency met zijn vrouw Lucy, en vertegenwoordigt auteurs en illustratoren van prentenboeken voor kinderen, non-fictie en romans. Lucy en James wonen in Oxford met hun twee jonge dochters.
