    Positieve punten

    • Meeslepend verhaal

    Geschreven bij The Prince of Tides

    20 jaar geleden las ik dit boek voor het eerst voor mijn Engelse lijst. Op aanraden van mijn docent Engels. Ik heb het boek inmiddels meerdere malen gelezen.
    Al vanaf de eerste pagina zit je in het verhaal. Een psychologische roman die gesprekken beschrijft tussen Tom en de psychiater van zijn tweelingzus die net een zelfmoordpoging heeft gedaan. Afgewisseld met fragmenten uit hun jeugd.
    De film met Nick Nolte en Barbara Streisand vond ik een aanfluiting. Zeker in vergelijking met het boek.
    Lees ook The Great Santini en South of Broad van Pat Conroy! En van dit genre alle boeken van Douglas Kennedy.
