    Lee Strobel was rechtbankverslaggever bij een grote krant, de Chicago Tribune. Hij weet uit ervaring dat overtuigend bewijsmateriaal lang niet altijd tot de juiste uitspraak leidt.
    Als atheïist was hij tot de conclusie gekomen dat de verhalen over Jezus fabeltjes waren, totdat hij anders naar de feiten ging kijken.
